Dub Inc, THK and Bleu Soleil Under the NJP Big Top

Dub Inc, THK and Bleu Soleil Under the NJP Big Top

In 5 days

For one autumn evening, the big top at Parc de la Pépinière throbs to reggae and electro-dub. As part of Nancy Jazz Pulsations, the Saint-Étienne collective Dub Inc takes top billing, preceded by the energy of THK and the luminous pop of Bleu Soleil. A festive concert in the heart of Nancy.

Dub Inc, a landmark of French reggae

Born in Saint-Étienne in the late 1990s, Dub Inc has risen to become one of Europe's most popular reggae bands through incandescent live shows. Its signature owes much to the two complementary voices of Bouchkour and Komlan: one melodic and steeped in Kabyle roots, the other deeper and close to a rap flow. Around them, the collective weaves reggae, dancehall, ska and world influences to carry a message of cultural mixing and brotherhood. On stage, that energy becomes contagious, turning the crowd into a single dancing wave.

THK and Bleu Soleil open the night

Before the headliner, two French acts warm up the big top. The eccentric duo THK cultivates a style all its own, brimming with bass music and electro: between killer skanks and hypnotic saxophone, it carries the crowd into a resolutely modern trance. Bleu Soleil, a project born from the meeting of Nino and Antonin and buoyed by their track 'Soleil Bleu', blends electro-dub, bass music and luminous pop. Enough to build a rising mood and ready every body to dance well into the night.

Under the big top, the NJP spirit

Every autumn, Nancy Jazz Pulsations takes over the city and its emblematic big top, pitched in the Parc de la Pépinière. Far beyond jazz, the festival mixes world music, reggae, electro and new discoveries, in an atmosphere both family-friendly and festive. The covered big top offers an ideal setting to enjoy a standing concert, right up close to the stage, whatever the weather. Attending this night also means tasting the energy of an event that has become a must of Nancy's cultural autumn.

Going along during a stay in Nancy
