A journey of an evening at the Nancy Jazz Pulsations festival, bringing South African nu-jazz and world-folk together on one stage. Pianist and composer Nduduzo Makhathini, steeped in Zulu traditions and spiritual jazz, weaves music conceived as a bridge between ancestral heritage, gospel and improvisation. Sharing the bill, Stranded Horse, the project of Normandy musician Yann Tambour, blends Anglo-Saxon folk and French chanson with Mandingo textures, alongside Senegalese virtuoso Boubacar Cissokho. Join us at the Théâtre de la Manufacture in Nancy for a concert at the crossroads of continents.
