Bridoux University Library
Part of the Université de Lorraine, the Bridoux university library serves the science campus of the same name, east of Metz. Specialising in applied sciences, it welcomes students and staff in a human-scaled study space. It is a place of work rather than a tourist sight, but worth knowing for anyone staying near the campus.
A library for applied sciences
The Bridoux library's collections cover chemistry, physics, biology and electronics, as well as sports studies (STAPS) and medicine, notably for first-year health students. It belongs to the Université de Lorraine's network of university libraries, giving access to a shared catalogue and digital resources. It is above all a working tool for the campus's scientific programmes.
A human-scaled study space
The library offers about twenty seats, a modest format that favours quiet study. Located on rue du Général Delestraint, on the Bridoux campus, it is easily reached by students living nearby. People mainly come here to consult books, revise or borrow, in a studious atmosphere far from the crowds of the larger downtown libraries.
