Imperial Quarter of Metz

The Imperial Quarter is a historic district of Metz laid out by the German authorities during the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine, between 1902 and 1914. Originally named "Neue Stadt", the new town, it bears the imprint of the Wilhelmine Empire. Today it is shared between the administrative districts of Nouvelle Ville and Metz-Centre.
