"Ces Mondes en nous" concert at the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine
In 10 days
The Orchestra of the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine, conducted by Bas Wiegers, explores the inner landscapes that music reveals: dreams, vertigo and visions. A programme leading from Mel Bonis to Bruckner's "Romantic" Symphony.
The programme
With Ophélie, French composer Mel Bonis (1858-1937) gives voice to a female figure shaped by imagination and tragedy, in a refined art of colour. These Worlds In Us by American Missy Mazzoli (born 1980) extends this journey in a contemporary, vibrant and organic language. In the second half, Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 "Romantic" opens a wider horizon, between an architecture of brass and the song of nature.
