Concert-Lecture on Biodiversity at the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine
In 4 days
Presented by the Opera's sustainability workshop, this evening blends music and lecture in equal measure. Alongside explorer Evrard Wendenbaum, the Orchestra of the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine explores the challenges of biodiversity, from the broadest view down to the case of Indonesia's Wallacea.
A form in its own right
Conceived as a dialogue between lecture and music, the evening gives full space to the Orchestra, under the musical direction of Marco Orazio Vallone. Here music does not merely extend the spoken word: it gives rise to another, more sensitive mode of attention in which ideas, images and sounds resonate together. Evrard Wendenbaum, explorer, photographer, filmmaker and president of Naturevolution, is the evening's speaker.
